PRESS RELEASE: Computer Audio Design’s (CAD) superb Ground Control units are crafted to tackle high frequency noise at the level of the signal ground plane, delivering remarkable sonic results in your hi-fi system. To further enhance their multi-award winning performance, the company has released an improved edition of its Ground Control Cable.
CAD is one of the early pioneers of grounding or high frequency noise reduction products, including its superb GC1.1, GC3.1 and GC-R Ground Control units. The Ground Control Cable is designed for use with any / all of the three.
CAD’s Ground Controls operate in the region of about 1MHz up into the high GHz range. At these frequencies, the cable construction requirements are significantly different to those of cables designed for analogue and digital audio.
The Ground Control units are connected in parallel with audio components and earth, and are a ‘dead end’ with no passing current. The cable that connects the Ground Control to the audio component(s) therefore has a significant effect on the degree to which the Ground Control unit is able to attenuate higher frequency noise. The cable must offer the lowest possible impedance for the high frequency noise to migrate from the audio component to the Ground Control. The lower the cable impedance is in this frequency spectrum, the better the Ground Control will perform.
“This latest edition of our Ground Control Cable has improved upon all of the factors that we feel are crucial to achieve the best performance from our Ground Control products,” says CAD founder Scott Berry, who has been perfecting the company’s Ground Controls and Cables for almost a decade.
“In fact, we guarantee you will find that our new Ground Control Cable offers a substantial sound quality improvement with our Ground Controls, or you can return the cable for a full refund.”
All CAD Ground Control Cables have a custom-manufactured 4mm banana plug on one end. Standard connections on the other end and held in stock are:
- USB – type A
- BNC
- RCA
- RJ45 Ethernet
- 4mm banana plug
- XLR – male
- XLR – female
- 4mm spade.
By special order CAD can also offer:
