Furutech’s Clear Line range was launched in 2020 with the NCF Clear Line AC optimizer, a compact device designed to instantly enhance the quality of your system’s power supply. This was followed in 2023 by the NCF Clear Line-RCA and -XLR passive signal line optimizers, created to achieve a similar upgrade via your system’s signal line.

Both devices are small enough to hold in your hand and couldn’t be more simple to use. Simply insert the NCF Clear Line-RCA into any spare RCA output or input terminal of your equipment – whether an amplifier, DAC, CD/DVD/SACD player, etc. Similarly, the –XLR version comes in F (female) and M (male) versions ready to plug into either output or input XLR terminals respectively.

“The optimiser is intended to combat the noise that can enter an audio system, and find its way into the signal path,” writes Neville Roberts in the latest issue of Hi-Fi Choice.

Testing the XLR version via an unused input of his valve preamp, Roberts reports that “repeatedly fitting and removing the optimiser confirms that it is indeed lowering the noise floor with the music appearing to stand out further from the background. Furthermore, I have a greater awareness of the atmosphere and presence of the orchestra in my listening room.”

Conclusion? “This is a great little device to elevate any high-end system to the next level of performance.”
