Furutech receives five of The Absolute Sound Editors’ Choice Awards 2025

Furutech’s high-performance cables, connectors and noise-reducing accessories win over a gamut of different reviewers in The Absolute Sound’s latest Editors’ Choice Awards, which features the magazine’s selection of hi-fi products that live up to the challenge of delivering superb performance in larger systems and dedicated listening rooms.

Furutech Pure Power 6 NCF

Furutech’s six-outlet Pure Power Distributor 6, crafted from a CNC-machined cube of aerospace-grade aluminium alloy, is described as “a virtual black hole for EMI and RFI”. It “lifted [Neil Gader’s] system to a new level of resolution, imparting renewed vitality and visceral immediacy – the recording sounding more than ever like hearing a live feed straight from the mixing board,” and “redefined [his] system as the quietest it has ever been.”

Furutech’s cables equally “have great transparency and purity, plus an uncanny ability to block out noise,” reports reviewer Chris Martens, thanks to their “cryogenically treated, ultra-high purity OCC single-crystal copper conductors”. The benefits are clearly demonstrated in the premium-priced Reference III and mid-priced Evolution II interconnects and speaker cables – both of which are current – and previous – Award-winners.

The Flux cable series, meanwhile, is “extremely transparent and detailed” and includes a phono cable “which ranks among the best produced,” writes Jacob Heilbrunn. These cables “transmit a wealth of details but are never harsh” and “the quality of workmanship, as with all Furutech products, is stunning, with connectors that “are a pleasure to use”.

Finally, for home users interested in finishing their own custom cable lengths and terminations, Furutech’s DPS 4.1 bulk cable “performs on a par with some of the top contenders at considerable savings,” writes Neil Gader.
