DS Audio’s state-of-the-art optical phono cartridges remain unique in the world of high-end audio, and continue to earn both rave reviews and top awards from specialist hi-fi media worldwide. Company CEO Tetsuaki Aoyagi recently visited the UK to chat about current developments – and ‘let slip’ an exciting announcement!
“After setting new standards of fidelity in the ultra-high end with his Product of the Year-winning $15,000 Grand Master optical cartridge, DS Audio’s ingenious Tetsuaki ‘Aki’ Aoyagi has turned his attention to the rest of us,” writes reviewer Jonathan Valin of the $2,500 DS 003.

Each year, US audio magazine Stereophile puts the world’s top hi-fi through its paces, with reviews that are “the most thorough evaluation that product will receive outside the manufacturer’s development lab.” The handful of products that are then selected for an annual Award are therefore a very special few indeed.
