“There was no sudden ‘goodness me’ moment that then turned out to be one of a limited range of strengths,” he adds. “Instead, these have an effective way of quietly getting under your skin.”

It was in the same place in the soundstage I have always heard it, and at the same level, but better defined – an uncanny effect that really made the music come alive.”

“I’ve always rated Exposure amplifiers for their low-end performance, and the 5510s are no exception,” writes Smith. “Bass effects were deep, solid, and detailed. The thumping kick drum on Runrig’s ‘Pride Of The Summer’ punched out with the sort of impact and snap that’ll have ornaments wobbling if you get the volume level right.”

“Add in a soundstage that is extensive in all directions, but particularly laterally, and there’s little that catches out these Exposure 5510s.”
